Christopher Reeve became legendary as a real hero when he suffered the loss of his mobility in a horse riding accident. He bravely kept busy promoting awareness of paralysis, and continued to do work in film. To the 70's and 80's generation no one else will ever be Superman. He made us all believe a man could fly.
